Memorial held for ST Airman killed in off-duty accident
Tobi Marez, head wrestling coach at Fort Walton Beach High School, speaks during a memorial ceremony at Hurlburt Field, Florida, Feb. 1, 2019. The ceremony was held in honor of U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Jorge Hernandez, a combat controller with the 23rd Special Tactics Squadron who was killed in an off-duty accident in Tennessee, Jan. 1, 2019. Hernandez was an avid volunteer in the local community. Specifically, he invested time in teaching Fort Walton Beach High School Students wrestling techniques. Dozens of FWBHS students attended the ceremony to honor and remember Hernandez.
