Key Spouse Program

AIR FORCE KEY SPOUSE PROGRAM

The U.S. Air Force Key Spouse Program (KSP) is an official Air Force Unit Family Readiness Program designed to enhance readiness, personal/family resiliency and establish a sense of Air Force community. Key Spouses are commander-appointed and serve as a vital resource to command teams in an effort to support Air Force families. The strategic vision is to increase resiliency and unit cohesion amongst military members and their families throughout the military life cycle.

This commander program promotes partnerships with unit leadership, Key Spouses, family members, the Airman & Family Readiness Center (A&FRC) and other community and helping agencies. In March 2009, the KSP was standardized across the Air Force to address the needs of all Air Force families. The KSP provides service-minded volunteers an opportunity to contribute to their communities, with a special emphasis on support to families throughout all phases of the deployment cycle.

Air Force Personal and Work life Program

PERSONAL AND WORK LIFE PROGRAM

The Airman and Family Readiness Center, or A&FRC, is the focal point to assist all service members and their families, to include Department of Defense civilians, in easing their adaptation to the military lifestyle and enrichment of their personal and work life.

The A&FRC assists with crisis intervention and customized action planning by conducting assessments, offering skills development and providing referrals to agencies both on and off the installation. P&WL activities are educational in nature and offered in group or individual settings. Topics range from interpersonal communication skills, adoption, relationship building, maintaining long-distance relationships (during deployment and other separations), marriage preparation, positive parenting, eldercare, time management and team building.

Air Force Wounded Warrior Program

AIR FORCE WOUNDED WARRIOR PROGRAM

The Air Force Wounded Warrior Program (AFW2) is a Congressionally-mandated and Federally-funded organization tasked with taking care of U.S. Air Force wounded, ill, and injured Airmen, Veterans, and their families. We provide personalized restorative care throughout their transformation back to duty, separation, or retirement, staying in contact with them throughout the process as an Airman For Life. The goal is to leave them well-equipped to manage challenges, regardless of injury or illness.

Air Force Families Forever Program

AIR FORCE FAMILIES FOREVER PROGRAM

Air Force Families Forever (AFFF) is a long-term survivor program established to provide support to family members of deceased Regular Air Force, U.S. Space Force, and Reserve Component Airmen who died in an Active Duty, Inactive Duty for Training (IDT), or Annual Training (AT) status and whose relationship was established prior to the Airman or Guardian’s death.. Support is provided to eligible Next-of-Kin (NOK) through Airman & Family Readiness Centers (A&FRCs) at installations closest to where the survivor resides.
