U.S. Air Force Lt. Gen. Brad Webb, commander of Air Force Special Operations Command, speaks during a Silver Star medal presentation ceremony at Hurlburt Field, Florida, Jan. 19, 2018. Webb presented the Silver Star medal to U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Christopher Lewis, a combat controller with the 23rd Special Tactics Squadron, for gallantry during the Mosul offensive in Iraq in 2016, during which he provided crucial air coverage for his team and ultimately took out more than 20 enemy forces through close-range engagement and calling in precision airstrikes.
