Air Force Special Tactics operators perform a high-altitude, low-opening military freefall over Hurlburt Field, Florida, June 27, 2018. Special Tactics is U.S. Special Operations Command’s premier tactical air-to-ground integration force and the Air Force’s special operations ground force, enabling command and control, global access, precision strike, personnel recovery and battlefield surgery operations. ST operators are trained to gain access to man-made and naturally contested, degraded and operationally-challenged environments in order to provide options for assault, maneuver and power projection.
